Thank you, Ingrid! I find it helpful to hear about others’ strategies. think I’m going to delete all my news apps too and am now going to read that missive from Liz Gilbert.

I still haven’t reinstalled them! And don’t mind in the least!

And a follow up thought, I feel so frazzled from everything that it’s hard to write!

My heart goes out to you. Sometimes I think it was all a bad dream— I still can’t believe it!

Deleting the apps absolutely helps! I am absolutely living in the anxiety of how this will impact everything and I will wake up every morning with the risk of being shocked.

I’m very nervous about how it will impact my job. They already discussing budget cuts.

I think my drawing class is the only thing keeping me sane. That and listening to audiobooks while drawing.

I need to start making lists somewhere. I bought some gorgeous little notebooks today, so I’ll probably dedicated one to lists…all kinds of lists! I use the note section on my phone a lot more than I used to, I write a lot of my poems on there when I’m in bed!! I keep on turning the light on and off because I get more ideas! I think I’m going to need my own bedroom…uh oh!! Sorry, dear, my head won’t stop writing poems! That romcom sounds cute, is it by the same person who wrote crazy rich Asians, or whatever it was called? Did you ever finish Slow Dance? I’ve not watched tv for a while. I’m into reading poetry books - my husband says I’m obsessed, which is true. So crazy! I’m listening to Liane Moriarty’s latest book, well I should be, but the last few nights I’ve not because, well, poetry… I always enjoy your write-ups, Ingrid. Lots of interesting things. Thank you xx

No, this is her first romcom, I think. She’s a screenwriter.

You amaze me with your poetry. That you’re able to just be in bed and then whip out a poem!!

haha! It doesn’t always work. Last night I tried, and I had nothing…

All good stuff! I have Yulin’s book on my TBR shelf. I’d be so curious for future consumption, if you have a TBR shelf or what that physical space looks like for you. Started thinking about it as my daughter was clearing her old art cart yesterday to repurpose of a TBR shelf. I just thought that it’s such a great idea! I’m mostly digital with my reads but I love the physical visual

I don’t have a TBR shelf. It’s all stored in my head and on iBooks as ‘want to read’. I buy or borrow and then read the book right away. I’m a physical book kind of person. Somehow I just like the feeling of holding a book and turning pages. Although I did read How To End A Love Story in digital format. I was too impatient to wait for a physical copy.

Thanks for the mention Ingrid. Glad my last letter could bring ray of hope and light to your day. Also, I am rooting for you on the novel that you’re writing.

Full binge on Law and Order SVU enabled me to live in an alternate reality where rapists do get their comeuppance.

You are very welcome Ingrid :)

I also re-read The Change by Kirsten Miller, phenomenal book where again women are empowered and our narrative is reclaimed! if you can get your hands on it, I consider it essential reading especially now :)
