I’ve wanted to read Dandelion is Dead for a while; thanks for the reminder. I haven’t had a DNF yet, mostly because I’m stubborn. I’m sure I’ll find one at some point. The problem is, when I do that, it feels like a personal failure!
Love this round up! I have Wedding People and keep starting it, but think I'm going to listen to it on the treadmill. I imagine it will keep me on there since I get so bored lol.
I loved The Wedding People, and An Academic Affair was so brilliantly plausible in today’s university job market! I’ve actually just started Dandelion Is Dead now, after a re-read of Caroline O’Donoghue’s The Rachel Incident, and will have to put in for the Kerry Clare.
You look so elegant and beautiful in this betrothal pic. I love it. All of your books are being added to my TBR. Reading Katherine Center’s latest ARC, “The Shippers” and enjoying it a lot of far. And just started “Remarkably Bright Creatures” - did you read this?! Thank you for the Bridgerton shout out. I need those final four episodes but I’m loving seeing Luke Thomas on the talk show circuit in the U.S.! Here for it!
I’m a big Katherine Center fan. I’ve just requested a copy of the arc. Keeping my fingers crossed. And I’ve put Remarkably Bright Creatures on my list. For some reason it’s slipped my radar. Guess what, the second stack of Bridgertons comes out on my birthday! Best gift ever!
Hahaha! It'— Consider Yourself Kissed. Sometimes when there's a book I'm tempted to put away, I like thinking up plot directions the writer could take and am then frustrated when they just don't follow my direction!
I really enjoyed The Wedding People too 😀
I honestly didn’t know about the romance in there and was pleasantly surprised.
I LOVED The Wedding People! Also, I have An Academic Affair on my TBR so I’m glad to read you enjoyed it!
I’m sure you like it. It’s a slow burn kind of romance.
Also I agree, the Kanthony chemistry continues to be unmatched
It’s the best! I’ve rewatched that season so many times!

Thanks so much for reading, Mariella. I look at DNFs as prioritizing my time :)

It was the same with me!! I couldn’t get into the written version, but then ended up enjoying the audio of it.
Okay I’m glad I’m not alone lol! Going to start tomorrow!

Thanks for reading, David. The Rachel Incident looks good. Sounds like my kind of book. I’ve just added it to my list.
Hal & Harper is so underrated! What a great cast too.
I know. I absolutely loved it! Thanks for reading.
I absolutely adored Hal and Harper. Very underrated. I can't wait to. Read a guardian and a thief!
Let me know when you read, I’m curious what you thought of the ending.

I dnf that one too!!!
So glad I’m not the only one!
“Listen to me goddammit!”
I take special pleasure in quitting a book. All I keep hearing is how your book has to hook your reader in the first page.
If I have to do it then you should too, I think 😉
